Rosemary Sampson will be guiding this “road trip” through the very picturesque Little Compton, RI.

Plan to car pool as it makes it easier. Your GPS is not always available here and we don't want to lose anyone. Meeting place will be Market Basket in West Bridgewater right off Route 24. We will leave at 10 AM. We will meander through Tiverton first and find our way to Sakonnet Vineyards. Grapes should still be on the vines. We can have lunch there or wait till Little Compton. Next stop will be at Peckhams Nursery, always a colorful place. Perhaps the cows will be in the pond across from Peckhams.

We will go to Lloyds Beach which has views of Sakonnet Lighthouse. We will travel to Warrens Point which is a private beach in the summer but this time of year is accessible to all. We end the beach tour at South Shore Beach or Goosewing Beach which is the public beach in Little Compton. Then we find our way to Wilburs which is an amazing country store. Be sure to purchase the store cheese. It's wonderful. Hopefully we will find a good spot for sunset.
